Real Estate Investors
Many people agree with the comment that, “Change is the
only constant in life.” Another comment many people have heard is. “The
only things certain in life are Death and Taxes.”
.....The changing world of real estate investing is quite sophisticated.
Yes, it can be as simple as buying an investment house (or small
apartment building) and engaging the tenant(s) to provide income. However,
numerous sectors of the real estate industry provide investment opportunities.
Such opportunities occur in relation to: residential (e.g., buy-and-hold,
flipping, foreclosures, rehabs, etc.), commercial, retail, industrial,
real estate securities (e.g., real estate investment trusts, mutual
funds, tenants in common, partnerships, etc.), notes and deeds of trust,
tax liens, and many other investment opportunities.
.....Of course, use of an appropriate investment vehicle(s) from the numerous
alternatives available can present challenges. Examples of entities
investors have used include these: “C” corporation, “S” corporation,
limited liability company, partnership (limited or general), trust (revocable
or irrevocable), land contract, option to purchase, land trust, and
others. What fits one investment opportunity may be hazardous for another.
